Feeding our
neighbours

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU

Our small group of welcoming volunteers are ready to serve community members of all ages and walks of life.
Anyone on Quadra Island can connect with the Food Bank to receive a food hamper. We do not request any financial information.
Our food hampers contain 10 – 14 grocery items, and sometimes more, depending on any extra food we have at the time. The amount of food you’ll receive is based on the number of people in your household.
First-time visitors to the Food Bank are required to register using one piece of ID - registration is a standard procedure at BC Food Banks to assist with monitoring the number of people using Food Banks and the volume and type of food required. It also allows us to note any particular allergies or dietary requirements so we can customize your hamper.

What is in a food hamper? We try to offer a good variety of non-perishable and perishable food; the amount and type of food does vary, depending on what is in season, what food is being distributed in the region, and what our partner organizations have available for us.
Distribution days are the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2 pm at the side building on the north side of Quadra Community Centre, 970 West Road.

MIXING IT UP

Our basic hamper aims to provide a good mix of
non-perishable and fresh products -
but you never know what else will turn up.

WORKING TO INCLUDE ALL FAMILY MEMBERS

Please be sure to identify how many people in your family are requiring food and the approximate age of any children. We are often also able to provide pet food in small quantities.
